Update on Jesse
Well as many of you know the last month or two has been a little crazy for Jesse and I. So, I thought I might update everybody on things and fill others in on what has been happening.
We'll start at the beginning. At the end of August, Jesse's MRSA infection came back in his bellybutton. Last time Jesse got this was in June and he had to miss over a week of work. Luckily Dr. Remmington and my mom helped us find something to get rid of the infection. But like I said...it came back again. My mom helped us out a ton getting the prescriptions that we needed to help fight the infection and giving us the advise and support we needed. Jesse was starting to feel better and the infection was slowly going away...he still missed work for about a week. After going back to work for a few days, Jesse suddenly started getting sharp pains in his abdomen. Shortly after the pains he started getting really sick. So we ended up taking him to the ER. He got an iv and the Dr checked him out. After the iv and pain killers the pain had moved to just one side of his body, but the Dr said to go home and take a few days off work...if the pain gets worse come back...yada yada yada...(this was Friday)
By Monday Jesse was still suffering and the pain level had not changed. We took him back to the ER. They did some tests and come to find out he needed to have surgery to have his appendix removed. This was his first surgery he has had so it was a whole new experience for him. The Dr told us that if it was a simple removal he would be going home in the morning. Unfortunately...Jesse's appedix had ruptured. (I wish they would have ran tests Friday the first night we went in) Jesse had to spend 3 more days at the hospital. The Dr did end up draining his MRSA infection so that was a blessing, he said that it should not be coming back since he drained it. Jesse had to endure another 5 days with a drain from his body since the appendix had ruptured. Once the drain was removed he was feeling much better...or so we thought.
Jesse (who had missed practically the whole month of work) finally got to go back to work the very end of the month. The morning he was going back he felt very dizzy when he woke up. I thought that it may have been due to the lack of sleep and anxiety of returning to work. But the following night he woke up at 2am and was vomiting and super dizzy. We took him into the Dr the next morning. Come to find out that Jesse has a viral infection in his ear...which is throwing off his balance and making him dizzy. Add another prescription to the mix...he has been on so many pills it is hard to keep track of everything.
Update...Jesse is back at work and feeling a lot better...as long as he takes his pills for the dizziness. He is slowly getting back to normal and we are hoping the infection in his ear will go away soon. His infection is completely gone and healing really well.
We are so thankful for all the help that we have recieved from everyone I don't know what I would have done if I didn't have all the support that was given to us.
